One of the above will be your normal way of knitting -- so you're half way
there already!
Pickers, practice a few rounds of throwing -- Throwers, practice a few
complete rounds of picking.
Then try this.....
one row of alternating single
stitches of the background and pattern shades
one row of alternating 2 stitches
each of the background and pattern shades
one row of alternating 3 stitches
each of the background and pattern shades
.........etc.
until you are able to easily
strand one inch of stitches -- 8 stitches in each of the background and
pattern shades.
Now you are ready to learn how to catch long floats on areas greater than
one inch of stitches. |
