a 2ply light-weight chunky yarn, especially suited to textured knitting.
This was formerly "Soft Shetland", and designer labeled "Scottish
Heather".
It is available in 24 beautiful
heathered shades - ALL IN STOCK !
- Recommended Gauge: 16-22 stitches/20-24 rows to 10 cm (4 in.)
- Recommended Needle Size: 4-5mm (US 6-8)
- 50 gm ball, approx. 92 meters/100 yards
Note: the old 2 oz skein Soft Shetland format of 120 yards was used in
the Jamieson's Shetland Knitting Books 1, 2 and 3 -- your yarn
requirements will need to be adjusted accordingly.
This yarn is imminently suitable for
textured knitting and can be substituted in many of your favourite
patterns. It's a great substitute for the discontinued Scottish
Heather yarn!
